Grandma's Rambler and Chinese FestivalfritzMar 23, 2021

I'm leaving a party, but I'm rather drunk and I have to drive. My car is parked right out front in the driveway, pointed out to the road at this typical but unfamiliar house, and there are no other cars around. I get in the car, my grandmother's Rambler, and it smells like her. I drove it here because I wanted to see how it worked. I think I got it from her after she died, and it's just been idle ever since. It drives like an old car.

I get up to the top of the hill, like the hill on Barbur Boulevard just above where it meets 99W, and now I had to pedal, like it's not just a car but a bike. But fortunately I'm at the top of the hill now. I ride down into Tigard, but it's like a crowded city, and there's a Chinese festival going on, with a lot of oriental-looking people out partying in the street, and bright lights and noise. I'm trying to find where I parked, or something like that. When I came here I didn't realize this festival would be going on, and I parked here anyway, thinking it would make my parking place easy to find, but it doesn't.
