Amber Swallowing StufffritzApr 19, 2021

I'm driving in a car (not my truck, a smaller car like my previous Highlander), and Amber (my two-and-a-half-month-old daughter) is in her carseat, on the passenger seat. She's being fussy, so - while driving - I stick a pacifier in her mouth, but instead of just sucking on it she gulps the whole thing into her mouth. I grab it out and examine it; it has two little holes in the outside part, where it looks like one could attach a string. I think, I should do that, so when she gets it in her mouth, I can just pull it out. But, can't do that right now, because I'm driving. So I try again just to get her to suck on it normally, but this time she gulps it into her mouth again, and immediately swallows the whole thing.

She swallows something else too; in my mind's eye it's like a cassette tape, but it's soft and rubbery. Like the pacifier, it seems mostly harmless, but it shouldn't be in there, and I wonder if it will require surgery to remove it. A surgery will probably be painful for her and make her fussy for a while.
