I'm sleeping with three little dogs (true to life), but in a van parket outside my parents', across from their bedroom. People keep waking me up, so I can't get any rest. The last straw is a yellow bus full of schoolchildren, who start running all over the place.

I think I'll drive somewhere else to park, and I try to, but the vehicle won't run right. It dies, and as I'm already rolling down the driveway, I try to roll-start it even though it's an automatic, which never works. I know this well, but I try it anyway. There is a jarring, scraping sound, and the truck lurches to a stop.

Dave comes to diagnose it - I think it's his car, now like a jeep. He monkeys with it a bit and then says "Did you forget that it's a diesel? You have to warm up the glow plugs", and I answer that I forgot it was a diesel, I always forget that.

(a few weeks ago in New Zealand, I "forgot it was a diesel", and it was a bit of a problem)
