I'm walking along in the dark, on the sidewalk in a nondescript suburban neighborhood, thinking about this girl that I just broke up with, who is my high school girlfriend Kiersten. I'm thinking that I shouldn't have just broke up with her, I should have tried harder to work things out, told her what was wrong and tried to fix it. That was probably very hurtful, the way I just cut things off. I should apologize and try to repair the situation. Then I remember that the problem was that she is into girls. So um, no, we're not patching that up.

Just then a dog darts past me in the dark, at least one smaller one following it, and then a guy who is chasing them, trying to catch the big one. I apologize to him, I could totally have caught that dog on it way by.
