Indoor Baseball | | fritz | Oct 28, 2021 | I'm in a large white room, like the back room at the old Audio Precision office, but empty. The room is like two large rooms sharing a corner, so it extends in two directions. People are loosely scattered in small groups, like some sort of indoor picnic.
We're playing a casual game of baseball in this room. I don't remember how I got there, but I'm on first base. In between plays I'm looking for second base, which isn't exactly where it's supposed to be; it uses a base that was already there, more or less in a straight line with first. But maybe there's another second base, where it should properly be. There seems to be a question of whether I'm out, since I'm off my base, but I explain that I'm just looking for second base.
Everyone takes a break and then I see people (like Dena S.) carrying their things and leaving. Somehow I got to second base and it looks like I'll be stranded there, but somebody volunteers to pitch to me there so I can hit myself home. I hit the ball and run to third and decide that's good enough.
