It's dark, and I'm driving as if on a road trip. I stop at a gas station, the only building around, and a few miles away from the main road. My tank is getting pretty low.

I am about to fill up when I realize I need diesel fuel. "Hey, do you have diesel?" I ask the attendant.

"Not exactly, but we have safflower oil, that'll work, right?"

I'm not entirely sure if safflower oil will work, and I'm not sure I want to put it in my tank. I ask the people I am traveling with if they remember how far it is back to the main road, wondering if I have enough gas to make it to the next station.
