New York Festival, Pizza Trouble, and Bad Child CarefritzDec 19, 2006

I'm on vacation in New York. I come back to my hotel, which I'm sharing with someone else. I have big plans for tomorrow, but when I check my itinerary it says I am leaving on the 8th, which I'm pretty sure is tomorrow, but I might be confused. I'm taking the key, and will leave it in the door for my companion, who I think is sleeping. I'm going to stay out most of the night, for my last night.

We go to some sort of festival. It's raining. There are these huge tents but everybody is wet anyway. Mom and dad are there, watching some event that I don't want to stay for. Mom tells me that I should be talking to somebody in the next tent, something about getting good tickets for an upcoming event and impressing the girls.

Later I'm taking care of a tiny baby. I'm ordering some food at the counter in a pizza joint. After I order and pay, I remember that the baby might need something too, so I ask for some applesauce. They give me a bottle, although the baby seems to indicate that she doesn't want it. Then the server gives me $5, and I'm trying to explain that there has been a mistake, and I owe her money. There is some confusion, and then everybody makes the point to me that she didn't have the pizza I ordered, she gave me only one piece instead of two, so she gave me half my money back, and gave me the applesauce as compensation.

I get in the car to go somewhere, putting the baby in the back. After going for a while, I realize that I forgot to put the baby in the carseat, instead just laid her down in the back and forgot her. I stop immediately and go around and open the hatch. The baby is crying just a little, and I pick her up and cuddle her. She is a little moist from laying in the cold and wet car, and I'm thinking if it will be bad for her.
