There is this new way of presenting videos of the war in Ukraine, with these boxes that authoritatively indicate who fired the weapons, and upon whom. It's a revolution in objective war reporting, and everyone is showing them.

I'm in Ukraine, but it's the form of my parents' house. There are some Russians coming, and we think they will kill us. We (not sure who) run away up the hill on the east side of the house. There is a trail leading up through the grass, and we follow the trail even though it seems like it will be pretty obvious. We go off the trail a bit and climb up a tree, expecting that it will be hard to find us up there. Then we see the Russians coming around the upper side of the house.

I believe at that point we realize that they will find us anyway and it will look suspicious if we are hiding up in the trees. So we go down and greet them directly. It turns out they are friendly and not particularly interested in civilians.
