I'm just emerging from several hours getting through customs and immigration into a foreign country. What an ordeal! I got separated from all my traveling companions, but I think I'm ahead of them all. I'm walking up a hallway and gathering myself; when I get to a good stopping place, I'll text them and wait.

The hallway opens up into a garden, where I am surprised to find my mother Sue and my daughter Amber sitting on a bench waiting for me and the others.
