Leaving Somewhere AgainfritzMar 19, 2024

I'm getting ready to leave somewhere, seems like New Zealand or Hawaii, to go home. I had time to go to the beach already; I remember seeing some tide pools.

I ask my dad what time we have to leave exactly, and he gives me a non-answer (like "we're leaving when we're going"), and it turns out it isn't my dad, it's my Uncle Dennis, who is with his wife Sharon and grinning like he just told a good joke, but I don't think it's funny, I'm annoyed, I really need an answer. But I don't really need to know, I need to be ready in an hour, and I don't have time to deal with this, I need to get my camper hooked up.

I also have to stop at a mini-store. The store person suggests a small pack of connoisseur cigarettes that come with a couple of small porcelain figures, of I think dogs or some other small animal. I think that's a good idea, I need to bring home some souvenirs anyway, so I say I'll take them. But then he says they cost $70, and I say no, never mind.
