Volkswagen Bus AdventuresfritzJan 13, 2007

I'm riding in a Volkwagen bus, in the passenger seat on the left, so we must be in New Zealand. My dad is driving, and mom and maybe others are in the back. My cousin Lisa is sitting on my lap, although she's full grown and by no means lap-sized. We're talking, and I haven't had a chance to talk to her, really ever.

We pull off into a park, and get out. It's my turn to drive. We all stretch, and I comment to Lisa that it's been nice talking to her, but now I have to do the driving.

Dad has parked the Volkwagen in an impossible place, on a barely bus-sized berm in the middle of the hilly park. The ground is all grass, and we are among tall trees.

I'm not sure I can get the Volkswagen out of there, so I tie it to a rope and let it roll down the hill. It tips and rolls over, though I'm holding it with the rope so it doesn't escape. When it settles at the bottom of the hill, we go down there and open it up, but amazingly, all our stuff is still in place.
