I'm at some sort of gathering with my family. My grandfather Bob suddenly arrives, which is surprising because we thought he's been dead for about 17 years. He doesn't even look like himself, completely thin, and it makes his face very different. I'm not even sure I recognize him.

He seems only semi-coherent, and somebody says that it's surprising how mentally together he is today. He doesn't drink or smoke.

I'm happy though, that Petra will have a chance to get to know him, although I feel like I have to explain some differences between how he is now and how he used to be.

I am glad to see him and I tell him, now that I know he's alive, I'll come and visit him every week.
