I'm driving my truck west on 99W, just before the bridge at Roamer's Rest. The traffic is heavy, but full speed. The lanes converge, and somebody won't get very far out of the way. I follow my lane as far as I can, but merge when I have to, figuring I have no choice but to push them out of the way.

In my rearview mirror I see two cars collide cornerwise, smashing like in a movie. Just a few seconds after, I see two cars ahead crashing, apparently unrelated, and one of them spins and hurtles backward on the road toward me. I'm now stopped in the road, but it appears unavoidable that my truck will sustain some damage. The car comes to rest just inches in front of me.

There are injuries ahead and injuries behind, and I am getting out to give them some first aid, wondering which one I should go to first.
