I'm sharing a bed with a woman who is apparently separated from her husband. But then he comes in and they resolve things, apparently with my help, for which they are very grateful.

I ask if in return, I might be allowed to sleep with the woman every once in a while. They seem a little surprised, and ask if it doesn't bother me that she has three eyes. I hadn't noticed that, but now that I look at her, she indeed has three eyes, right in a row. Seems a startling illusion, to be so accustomed to us two-eyed sort that I would see two eyes when there are really three. But before my eyes, what appears to be two is seen as three, if I really concentrate.
