I awaken suddenly, and find myself at the wheel, driving toward a trailhead to climb a mountain (in real life, I am sleeping near such a trailhead). I check the time, and although I am in good timing to make the climb, I realize that I didn't break down camp, and I don't have time to go back. Oh well, my camp will have to stay until I return.

When I get to the trailhead, just before 5am, I am surprised to see that Eric and Tom are there (in real life, Eric has a knee injury and Tom hikes but doesn't climb). This is a difficult climb, and I don't think they can do it. I'm a little offended that they might be able to make the climb, since it is so difficult but I can do it.

I ask them why they are attempting this, adding "what, are you on drugs?" Eric jokes that they sure are, they've just had some barbiturates. Then he repeats it, sort of sing-songy, like "bar-bit-u-rates, bar-bit-u-rates...."
