Driving on Lake, Climbing, and Friendly GirlfritzSep 8, 2007

We have these two large old cars, and I have to drive one of them across a large muddy lake. We aren't sure if it will sink, but we decide we're just going to have to go for it. I drive across, and it's doing pretty well, but taking water the whole time. Some stuff falls into the water and drifts toward the bottom; I dive in very quickly and swim down about 20 feet and grab one thing, but two other things fall to the bottom. I think they are stuffed animals, one large and one small, perhaps a brightly colored parrot. Timmy dives in and tries to catch something, but misses. Now the water is like a diving pool, clear and chlorinated, but the objects are too deep to swim down and grab. I don't think I can possibly get them, but I don't try. I think this one is special to Tim, so I think maybe I can get a scuba diver to go down there and get it.

Then I'm on a snowy climb. We start in a house at the top of this ridge, and during the day everyone has to make it down this steep hillside to base camp, which can be seen from the top. I start down, but then I realize I've forgotten something so I climb back up to the house. This happens three times; the last time, I've forgotten to change to my boots. I have some trouble climbing back up the snow in my tennis shoes, but I make it back to the house.

Now it's apparently too late to make it to base camp before dark. I've learned my lesson, to make a list and not forget anything, because it has cost me the climb. I go into the bathroom and wash my hair in the sink.

Then I'm sitting around in the house, and this very pretty, athletic girl is encouraging me to go somewhere with her. Her boyfriend is there, but she keeps sort of pulling at her shirt, partially flashing and hinting at me. I plan to go with her, but somebody tells me that she doesn't really want me. I point out the hints; surely she is coming on to me.
