Hospital Airport and an Arm ProblemfritzSep 29, 2007

I'm going to visit Scott at the hospital, and as I go I grab a huge "get well" balloon that somebody gave to Natasha and Alona. I figure that it's done giving them any happiness, and Scott will appreciate it. But then, as I go into the hospital, I realize that they'll be mad and probably Scott won't like it, so I decide to take it back to the car. I start back, but I make some wrong turn (noting that my sense of direction failed me, a rare occurrence) and end up at the other end of the hospital, across a large grassy area.

I meet a nurse there and ask her for directions. She asks to see my plane ticket, the hospital now being an airport. I don't know if I even brought it, but I rummage around in my stuff and find my plane ticket in my jacket pocket. She looks at it and shows me where I should have parked to leave my car for my trip, but it seems I'll have to move it from where I left it. She tells me how to do all that, but we wonder if I have enough time, because my flight leaves at 3:23 and it's now...3:22. No way I can do it in one minute. I guess I've missed my flight, and I'll have to ask them to transfer to the next day.

New scene, I'm in the office talking to Rich Cabot. I'm pulling dead skin off my arm, in large tough sections, kind of like scabs but not gross, and they don't hurt. The wound is completely healed, but it leaves big pits in my skin, and I wonder if it will leave scars. Rich is trying to do something using Mogera (a software machine at work that I designed) and it's a small task, but Mogera takes too long because it does so much other stuff. I tell him that I can make it faster, but it wasn't really designed for that, so it'll take some time.
