One of my trees is on fire outside my house. The fire is smoldering deep in the base of the trunk. My partner says that I should get up and put it out, which I'm resistant to do, because I think it will just put itself out but now it's burned a fairly substantial cave. I get up, and the window of my room is panoramic, and I can see that there is a perfect hole in the bark of the tree where I can insert the hose to put out the fire.
