Forget Your Schedule and Keep an Eye on Your ShortsfritzJan 11, 2006

I'm at school, but I don't know what class to go to because I can't find my schedule. It's nearly 1:30 and I think I might have a class to go to, but I can't remember at all and I search through all my papers but can't find my schedule. I go home and look, and someone there (perhaps Natasha, but I don't recall) suggests that I go to the school office and request my schedule. Yes, I can do that, but it will be embarrassing because the term is half over and most people already have their schedule memorized. Anyway I go back to the school and travel on some in-school bus system, which it occurs to me is slower than walking across the campus, looking for the office that would provide this information.

Later I'm at the top of Sylvan hill, standing to the side of the road that crosses the freeway. Suddenly I see my former co-worker Tony and someone else paddling along the road (which apparently also has some riverlike properties) in a two-seater kayak, in the downhill direction. They make three quick strong strokes and duck under the water, moments later emerging from a culvert that empties into a small cloudy lake, down and to the west, but in clear view from my position.

I can see them both swimming under the water, though I can't see the kayak. First I notice that one of them has his butt-crack showing, apparently the ride through the culvert having peeled his shorts down a little. Then I notice that he is helping the other swimmer to put his shorts back on, apparently having suffered a more severe case of the same.

Shortly Tony emerges and stands in the hazy brownish water, about up to his waist. He waves to us who are watching from the road. His partner is still underwater, and appears distressed, as though he is drowning. Tony isn't paying attention and I try to signal to him to look at his partner. Tony catches the signal, and pulls his friend out of the water. His friend then spits out an insane amount of water from his mouth, squirting like a fire hose.
