I am tending a fire in the fireplace in the redroom at my parents'. It keeps getting out of control, starting little fires on the wood that's stacked in front and to the side. I keep having to put it out, or throw the burning parts into the fire.

At one point it's so out of control that it burns the speaker cones of a Peavey amplifier that is nearby before I can put it out. I am apparently very frustrated, as when somebody nearby complains about the noise, I fire back that it can't be coming from the amplifier, because its speaker cones are all burnt.

Some girl decides that we need to throw all the wood in and burn it out and start over. We push all the wood in. She goes to get a bucket of water with which to rinse out the fireplace, and I follow to get another bucket, then realize we don't need that much water. What we need are empty buckets to shovel out the ashes.
