I'm moving some things from one place to another with a large truck. My studio equipment is in a large, empty room. At first I'm only moving a few small things, as if to set up for recording. Then in some discussion I realize that I'm going to want to play some metal guitar in the new place, as if I'll be part of a band there or something. I need one portable thing to process my sound, and I choose my distortion pedalboard. Then I'm thinking I should use my Marshall stack instead of a small amp. And hey, if we've got room in the truck, we might as well bring the big stuff.
