While passing by REI, I see my old red truck, which I sold about a half a year ago (saw my former truck at REI in real life, same day). I still have a key to it, so I decide that while the new owner is shopping, I will secretly take it out for a drive, just for a few minutes.

I end up being gone a long time, well into the evening, I think because I got stuck at a vet appointment with Tim (also really happened), so it is dark when I am driving the truck back to REI. I'm worried that there will be a lot of trouble, after all the poor guy came out and the truck was gone for hours. He must think it was stolen. What if the police are waiting around to catch me when I return? My other truck is still there in the parking lot, so I have to go back there, and they'll know who I am. I worry, but I have to take the truck back right away.

I get there and park, to no fanfare. I go into a small shop, and start casually asking around about the owner of the truck. They tell me that he is waiting around for a part for the truck to be delivered, so he wasn't even ready to leave yet, and didn't notice it missing.
