Cats in the Woods, and Bathroom AdventuresfritzJan 4, 2009

I'm walking in the woods with Sydney, on a cold day with a light dusting of snow on the ground (just as I was in real life this morning). Sydney is playing with another dog, as the owners stand nearby in a corner of the trail. Then out of the woods appear two wild cats, middle-sized like lynx, but with the spots of leopards. They also start playing happily with the dogs, running after each other and wrestling in the snow. The other owners and I are surprised that these wild cats are so tame with dogs, and apparently not afraid of us either.

Shortly I end up back at a large snowy parking lot, where my car is parked, but apparently because of the snow, I'm staying at a hotel that is right there. Sydney is running around, and I have to call her.

I go into my room in the hotel, and it's my house, where I'm sleeping on the couch (where indeed I am). I get up to pee, and go first into the kitchen for some reason. I notice a puddle on the floor, and I think Sydney had an accident. But then I notice another puddle, and I notice that my kitchen has no countertop island that sticks out into the middle of room; instead the only counters are against the wall. I realize that I am dreaming, since this isn't my real kitchen, so I don't bother to clean them up, just step around them and head for the bathroom.

I get into the bathroom, the yellow one in the center of my house (which doesn't actually exist right now due to remodeling) and lift up the lid but there's something obstructing the toilet. I try to pull it out, and it appears to be dismembered old dolls, their heads and other pieces hanging creepily down into the toilet. I laugh, as it seems like a prank from my dreaming brain, and I know that it's not real. I try to lift them out, and shift them offhandly into the bathtub on my left, but they are too heavy for me to lift. I still have to pee, so I wake myself up.

(Upon awakening, I go directly to the hall bathroom to pee. It is not until I open the door and step halfway off the edge onto the missing floor that I remember that there is not currently a bathroom there, just a hole, beams and insulation).
