I am driving my Subaru on Springbrook road, heading toward Newberg as if away from Dave's shop. My headlights suddenly start fading until I can't see at all in the dark. They come and go in waves.

I head up to the folks' where I find Dave and ask him about it. He looks at it for a few minutes, then tells me he is going to find the part on some internet site that allows you to specify what part you want, and then it finds a whole wrecked car for you to buy that has that part. It'll take a couple of weeks. In the meantime, he says, if I have that trouble, I should squirt some Silly String in the carburator. I have some Silly String, and when I squirt it, it freezes in a long stiff strand, apparently from the cold, which amuses us greatly.

Then I'm painting at mom's with Brandt, and we have a number of pills of LSD. I eat a whole bunch of them, then spit most of them out because it's too many, but I have no idea how many I swallowed or what that will do to me. It's later than I thought, and I have to go to bed in two hours. Don't think that will work.
