Of Course, They're Sha Na NafritzJan 22, 2009

I'm at some sort of music festival, but I have to leave. Sha Na Na (*1) just left the stage. I found something in the cafeteria, like a phone book in a plastic bag (*2), and I take it up to them.

I peek my head through the stage curtain, now closed, and tell them that I have something for them, and I'm sorry that I have to leave early, but I need to be somewhere. They are very gracious, take the item from me, and talk to me in a friendly manner.

As I walk away I realize that I forgot to ask them if they make any money (*3) on their gigs, which may have been my whole reason for the phone book thing. Oh well, I think, I'm sure they make money on their gigs, they're Sha Na Na.

I take off in a convertible volkswagen bug, but I don't know where I am. I miss my turn and have to go back.

(*1) Just saw one of the guys from Sha Na Na on an infomercial when I was at Natasha's house caring for her with her injured knee

(*2) Less than a week ago, when going out to visit my parents, I picked up a very similar phone book at the bottom of their driveway and brought it up to them

(*3) I have been telling myself if I ever have the chance again to hang out with a professional musician (like I have with Shawn Mullins and Crowded House in the past), I should ask them direct questions about the financials
