No Guillotines in Any Bible VersionfritzMar 1, 2006

It's like a press conference in the basement of a building, and a famous goth-like girl is describing her imminent suicide. She is tall and dark and very pretty. Seems I've been a fan of hers for a long time, and am suprised she's decided to do this. She describes the mechanism - apparently some sort of guillotine, and how it might malfunction, instead cutting off her breasts or something. She is very matter-of-fact about the whole process, and even describes some vision of what will happen to her in the afterlife, although I recall no details.

She finishes her presentation, and as we are filing out, I come past her. I stop and shake her hand, and I tell her that the afterlife may just be like a long sleep, sort of as a way of trying to talk her out of it. But for some reason we both think it's a temporary sleep. She smiles and thanks me for my kind thoughts.

Later, I'm with a group of people, I believe from my work, and we are debating versions of the Bible. Someone says that they like to read different versions, and in almost a mocking way, I arrange three versions of the Bible in front of me, saying "like this?", as though I am reading and comparing all three.

Next: But is it a Military Bathrobe?
