One of my Rasboras is floating on the top of the tank, which is in the kitchen where I normally set my laptop. I quickly dip him out into a small glass to get a good look, and notice that he has a big white fluffy blob stuck to his scales. Oh no, I think he has ich! Then I look back at the tank, and the other two Rasboras are floating too, and I have a big fancy goldfish who also has a big white splotch.

I dip them into separate containers to isolate them, but I spill some of the water and I don't have enough, they are drying out. I fill a vase with fresh lifesaving water from the tap, but it's got chemicals so I have to treat it first.

I remember that I have some ich medicine for this, and I run to the pet-drawer in the kitchen and dig through it quickly, spilling most of the contents out onto the floor. I don't find the medicine, so I run to the other drawer in the living room, and pull it all the way out dumping it on the floor in one motion. Part of it is full of folded t-shirts, apparently stored there for my remodeling.

Somebody is there, I think Alona, and she asks me what is going on. I say my fish are sick, I'm looking for the medicine, and she says which ones, she doesn't see anything. I say all the Rasboras, but now that I look at them, I can't see anything wrong either.

(note: in real life, I happened to forget to turn off the aquarium light that night.)
