I am home at my house at night. The house is not at all like my real house; instead, it is like one you would find in Southeast Portland - older, two floors and a back yard.

There is a commotion in a back room, sort of an attached shed, so I go out there. It is brightly lit with fluorescent lights, and the remodelers who have been working on my bathrooms are back there, installing something. They were supposed to be basically finished with their work, although there were still a few details in dispute. They certainly weren't expected to be remodeling this room.

The contractor is a basically like the real contractor but uglier, with worse teeth and more evil. I ask him what is going on, and he says rudely that it's none of my business and there's nothing I can do about it anyway anyway.

I go angrily back into my house and complain to someone about what they are doing, then go back out to confront the remodelers again.

I go on the offensive, telling them to get out, and that they can't do that, whatever they are doing. I say "what are you installing, some kind of marijuana-growing operation?"

Turns out that is exactly what they are doing, as the contractor informs me, and there is no way I can stop them. He says I signed a paper saying they could use this room however they wanted, as part of the remodeling contracts. I threaten that I will get a lawyer, and he laughs meanly, saying his case is watertight, and they do this all the time.

This leaves me wondering why they bothered to do any actual remodeling at all, which is quite nice work.
