Kids in the Street, and Natasha's Motorcycle Needs WorkfritzAug 4, 2009

I'm hanging around outside, in a place similar to the front yard of Petra's new house. The kids are running around and going into the street, especially Phoenix showing off his clumsy new walking skills, and sometimes cars come by very quickly. I mention this to whoever is around, and somebody - perhaps my brother Dave - parks a truck right there in the lane so that nobody can use the road. It seems that the road is only one lane, and his truck fills it.

Then we're getting into some vehicle, and parked in front of it is a huge yellow motorcycle, a street bike larger than any in the real world. I recognize it and ask "is that Natasha's motorcycle?"

Apparently it is, and I say that I'm supposed to do some work on it for her one of these days, replacing a fraying brake cable. Also it has a Check Engine light on, which indicates a problem with the ignition. Dave and I take the cap off the rotor, which is yellow plastic and as big as a dinner plate, with six or eight pits in it, like small craters arranged in a circle. Several of them are burned or extra deep, which we confirm as the obvious source of the ignition problem.
