24 Hours from Ukraine | | fritz | Oct 22, 2009 | Natasha and Alona are leaving, going back to Ukraine. We are just about to get in the car to the airport. Natasha says I have to take her to Eugene, but I say no, I (or we) don't have time to go all the way to Eugene. I think I'm taking her to Salem.
My house appears to be like my grandma's, but with the front door facing the street, and the car parked out on that side. There is a stereo on the mantel, and I have trouble turning it off to leave.
As I'm locking up, and we're heading for the car, I comment to Alona how interesting it is to imagine that just 24 hours from now, they'll be in Ukraine. She doesn't respond. | Next: Rich Moves my Dishes, and Annoying Pledge Drive |
