I've just arrived at my parents' house, apparently for a special occasion. It seems like Christmas, but the weather is nice outside.

I've come from the west, as though I've been out at the beach. I'm considering going home to get some things that I neglected to bring. People are asking where my dogs are (I think I have two, Molly and Sydney), and I want to go home and get them too. I ask Mom when dinner will be, and she says just like a half hour, but I think I'll run home real quick anyway.
