Never Liked New Age MusicfritzNov 4, 2009

I'm with Misha in my parents' bedroom, which is apparently now our bedroom. I'm getting undressed to take a shower in the back bathroom. She's sitting on the floor, leaning with her elbows and chin on the bed.

She notices a smell, and I pick up a pair of my underwear that was on the bed rather near to her face, and throw it in the laundry.

"So, what sort of New Age music are you into these days?" she asks.

"I've never been much into New Age music. Yeah, I used to sorta like Love and Rockets but that was just fun, really they totally suck. And I'm always curious about Gary Numan, but I listen to his stuff and he never does anything good. These days all I really listen to is Annihilator."

[same dream, transcribed from voice recorder:

"so it's my parents bedroom, and I'm with Misha, we're like back together or something and I'm getting ready to shower and I'm talking to her and she asks me 'so what kind of new age music do you like these days?' and I'm like, 'I don't really listen to new age music' and I kind of go through all the stuff that kinda sucks, I'm like, 'well I used to like Love and Rockets but they pretty much suck, and Gary Numan, but that's just, I don't really like him any more, I just always kind of look with interest.' And I say 'well, the last few months, the only thing I listen to is Annihilator. And like, Spear of Destiny is always good.'

And then I sit down on the bed, and I realize that it's two beds - there's a bed, and then right beside it is another bed on the floor. At first I think that it's the same bed, that it's just got moved over into the corner. And I'm sort of disturbed, because it seems like Misha moved in and just immediately moved the bed. So I say to her 'did you just already move this bed into the corner?', and she says 'no, it's another bed'. So suddenly I'm like 'oh, oh I see that', and it was a bed that, where Joe used to sleep, and cause he was staying there for a while, and he'd put down another bed right there."

And then I say 'you know, that's funny how the mind does that, how you just adapt to a different bed, and you think it's the same bed', and Misha doesn't get it."]
