Unmanageable Tide and Train RidefritzDec 4, 2009

I'm in a cabin, right at the edge of the beach, with someone, perhaps Shawn. I set my stuff down in the corner of the cabin near the sea, but the conditions are unusual, and there's a strangely high tide. A wave surprises us by touching that corner of the cabin, and soaking some of my belongings.

I dry off my stuff and pick out what is wet, and it seems that everything is ok. The sea has receded, and we think that was the tide's zenith. But then another wave comes in an plunges into the cabin, soaking everything that we thought was safe. It seems there's no way to keep things dry except to put them up on the furniture, as the whole floor is soon flooded about a foot deep. I don't think there's enough room for all our stuff on the furniture.

Then later I'm with some people in a room, I think on a train, but the room is larger than anything on a real train. I can't figure out how to pay, or get our tickets stamped to validate our ride. My travel companions are sleeping on couches around the room, but I end up staying up all night waiting for the ticket guy to come around. Finally I get that resolved right around dawn, but there are still a few hours of travel in which I can get a little sleep. I try to sleep on one of the couches but that doesn't work for some reason, so I end up lying on the floor next to someone else.
