I'm on a long journey as if on a motorcycle, with a traveling companion. We stop first at a roadside campground with a pond, where the road is cut into the side of a wall of rock. We camp there for the night.

Later we stay in a stone castle, at the end of a long road lined on both sides with shops. I take off to go somewhere uphill, and after a few minutes on the shop road, I take a shortcut that goes into a store, then through some dark passageways underground, behind and below all the other stores. It ends at the back of a store that I have to walk through to get back onto the main road.

As I walk through the store, I see a display selling something that looks sort of like a firelog. It is something relatively normal that you eat, but the display says that if you eat two of them you'll have a hallucinogenic experience. That amuses and interests me, as I didn't know about this secondary use for a common product. But then I realize that I've been gone a long time, and still haven't reached my destination at the top of the hill, and I forgot to tell my traveling companion that I was leaving.
