Quills in the Hand | | fritz | Dec 25, 2009 | Somebody threw me a sharp thing, like a leaf from a cactus, and when it hit my hand it left hundreds of tiny, painful quills in my skin, in perfect alignment over a two-inch square or so. Apparently the person who threw it didn't do it right, and I'm patiently explaining, see what happens, you have to be more careful, as I'm pulling out the quills one by one from my hand. It seems if they had done it right, there would only be a quill or two.
They hurt a lot, but I'm happy to see that the pain disappears as soon as the quills are pulled, and I'm almost finished pulling them all out.
