The Best House EverfritzDec 28, 2009

I'm moving into a large house. I think Scott is moving with me, but it seems like Matt. There's a kitchen, and a living area surrounded by several large bedrooms. My friend bring something in, a large piece of musical gear, and asks me where to put it. I'm not sure; it seems it doesn't really belong in the living area.

I tell him that I'll go look at the rest of the house. I hadn't seen the other part since I first looked at the house, and don't remember what was there, but maybe there's another room where the musical stuff is best placed.

I walk up an open stairway, and am amazed by the huge living room. It's as big as a basketball court, with pianos and couches and different areas, and a two-story ceiling. It seems there is a lot that could be done with that space.

At the top of the stairs is a hallway along the living room (a floor above), and there are large rooms all along the other side. I peek into one of the rooms, and it is equipped as a recording studio, with somebody still in there, recording some saxophone. On the far wall in the hallway is a large picture commemorating when some famous producer worked here in the studio. The producer's name wasn't familiar to me.

There are many other rooms, among them a library, and all of them huge and luxurious.

Around on the other side of the spacious living room is a doorway to a gymnasium. I remember thinking that now there would be no reason not to get a pool table, a ping-pong table, a dartboard, and all those other fun things to do when you have guests over; all these would fit easily in one corner of the gym.

I'm so impressed and excited about my new house. I go back to tell my friend that there are much better places to put that one thing.

As if in contrast, the same night I dreamed of moving into a place with Monte and another guy. There are two empty bedrooms, and a central living area which is apparently where Monte will be living. I have to scale down my life to fit into the one bedroom. I'm pondering which bedroom to take; for some reason, a consideration is which one is closer to the one bathroom.
