I've got a new job, where I'm working in a room with a lot of other people, in rows almost like pews in a church, but with a bit of desk space for each person. I'm in the middle in the second row. The girl just to my right keeps talking to me, and I think she likes me. She wants to go out somewhere after work, to a bar or to dinner. I like her.

But then I have to move, or I want to move, to a desk-position in the front row, more over to the left. She comes up there as if to object to my move, and I'm trying to say that it's not because of her or anything, I like her, it's just for getting ahead in the job. But then she's talking to somebody up in the front of the room, perhaps our manager, and I get a look at her face, which is pocked with rather ugly acne, and have second thoughts about going out with her.
